This is the studio with the new windows
and the new wall color and shop sink.
The floors are covered with paper to
be refinished later. The wall color is
light and bright and I really like it. No
lighting yet, so hard to photograph.
Dressingroom - two vanities (not as black as
they look) and "grey wisp" walls, which are a
very soft gray blue green.
Bedroom looking into dressingroom,
with the new exterior door. The color is
"Ashley Gray" and it has a green tinge
in the photo, but not in real life - it is a
brown-gray, like a taupe. This white
chair is the one that wasn't stolen.
I like the wall color, I did it so that I
could hang all my black and white art
with big off white mats and dark
frames.
LOVE the door. LOVE it.

The livingroom! blue ceilings, yellow
walls. This is looking east, and into the
office and the heater, and the hall
bathroom. Every wall that is now just
primed will be a clay color. Not really
rust, not that red. This is pretty close
to the wall color, which is a medium
ochre, with a green tint, kind of like
olive oil.
Kent raised the whole floor level so
that everything would be even - the
areas like the hall and livingroom were
lower than the back room, and of
course where the walls were that we
took out. So when we put down the
wood floors it will all be the same. We
are not putting a door to the office, just
leaving it like it is.
This is looking to the west, where the
bookshelf used to be.
These are recessed lights, we just
stuck in whatever bulbs we have for
now, the trim isn't on.
You can see the header that takes
care of the wall we took out.
This is where the oven was, with the
top and bottom shelves taken out. The
bottom board under the oven was
saturated with grease, so I was very
glad to get it out. A miracle it didn't
catch fire. This is tne new cabinet
color, which isn't as bright in person,
very very neutral, but still green. the
3rd green these cabinets have been
painted. Looks good with the blue
ceilings. The new oven is actually 10"
shorter than the old one, but I'm
putting the microwave on top of it, so it
ends up being a little higher, so will
have to cut down that top door.
Remodel progress as of June 15
Still no garden paths, but the larkspur are beautiful right
now, and my mixed daylilies are doing well. I put 3 or 4
tomatoes in my little herb garden.
